Jamie Schouela serves as Executive Vice President of the Canadian Networks at Blue Ant Media. In his role, Schouela is charged with leading the strategic direction of the company’s domestic television and digital properties including multi-platform content strategy and scheduling, marketing, communications and ad operations. He also oversees the relationship with the company’s cable, IPTV and satellite partners nationally. Schouela’s previous role at Blue Ant Media was EVP, Marketing and Communications. This position saw him leveraging his 20 years of marketing experience as he managed and lead all consumer and trade promotions for the company’s portfolio of brands.
In this role, Schouela oversaw a number of major initiatives including the launch of Cottage Life Television, Smithsonian Channel Canada, and Makeful as well as the rebrand of Oasis to Love Nature. Prior to Blue Ant Media, Schouela served as Vice-President, Marketing for Shaw Media, directing all marketing and communications activity for Global Television and its 19 specialty channels. He began his career at Alliance Atlantis where he helped build a number of networks including Showcase, History Television, and BBC Canada.
His campaigns have won both Promax and Canadian Marketing Association awards, as well as set a Guinness World Record for a stunt promoting the hit series 24.
