Toronto, ON (September 21, 2017) – Blue Ant Media, an international content producer, distributor and channel operator, announced today the appointment of Sady Magendran to Managing Director, Blue Ant Plus, the company’s Canadian social content studio that brings stories to life for brand marketers and agencies. In this newly created role, Magendran is responsible for overseeing the studio’s spectrum of creative solutions with a specialized focus on customizing brand stories with innovative short-form digital content. He will also manage Blue Ant Plus’ full-service, in-house team of creatives and oversee all content creation, studio production and social listening capabilities, while leading the studio’s business development. Magendran brings over 17 years of experience of delivering award-winning ideas for major Canadian telecommunications and media brands. He previously spent the last year consulting and building up his own client base. Prior to that, he spent five years at Rogers Communications where he graduated to Senior Director, Creative and Design and supervised the strategic direction of overall execution of numerous high-profile, multi-platform brands such as Rogers, Sportsnet/NHL, City and FX. Before joining Rogers, Magendran held the role of Associate Creative Director within CTV/Bellmedia, a role that saw him overseeing the creative development and management of all creative packaging for the network and its supporting media brands such as TSN and Discovery Channel, including a leadership role in designing the network packages for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
